This has happened to me a couple of times on my Mk1. It occurred after trying to play back media and then the playback failed and the camera would not turn off. It seems it was the cards ( lexar ) so I returned them. It has happened a couple of times to me but not for a while.
Hi All. I have looked on the Sony engineering site and there is no relation to power issues. Please make sure you are on the latest version as it could be a bug on older versions. Latest version for FS7M2 is v1.2. FS7, latest is v4. 3.
Another comment re cards, as a good practice and part of work flow, once you finished recording your material and before backup, disconnect the card from camera and insert again immediately, the camera will check the card and IF there is an issue it will tell you to fix this error. Please do not be alarmed as something could have happened where the file did not close properly. The camera will fix this but has to be the camera that recorded onto that card. If you have further queries, please call me or text me @ 0780196177
After using my FS7 for three years, I have a new anomaly with footage error
I copied an MXF (4K XAvC I) clip over to my raid. It showed no errors or issues. I even copied over to my NAS for backup with no issue.
I then opened in Premiere and saw the waveform only showed about 75% of the audio. Playback is fine but a little choppy.
I can’t export the file without the program freezing, and now can’t even copy the file over to another drive or QXD card.
I can see the entire file in Catalyst and Premiere, but can’t export or convert.
I had an export issue similar to the timeline in premier the program stops responding. had to have in and out markers. under sequence (render entire work area), this renders the timeline. a green, yellow or red (timeline bar) pre-export. I could not export the media before this was done.
