Evidently everyone on the Internet thinks it's a huge bargain; but Fujinon's new cine lenses are passive & not stabilized, un-adaptable beyond E-mount, but if you've got an extra $3.8k to spend, have at it! ...
Alex StoneNo cine lens is stabilised. They are a good deal - compare to the Fuji 19-90 Cabrio for instance. It's £18,000+VAT but a superb lens. Take out the lens data, take off the servo and replace the mount and you save yourself £11,000 - and that's for both MK lenses!
You gain 46mm of range, each lens is a third what the Cabrio weighs and yet they retains it's constant speed and all the other benefits of a proper cinema zoom including backfocus adjustment and most importantly, it's parfocal.
Even if it isn't for everyone, it's availability at this price with these features can only be a good thing for stirring up the competition.

Introovable Les IntroovableCompletly agree with the post, the Sony 18-100 sounds better to me, more versatile due to the focal length, stabilized, shorter...
Matt TownleyI don't know of any cine lens that's stabilized. And sure, it's fixed e-mount, but right now, our in-house camera platform is standardized on FS7s, so that's great. When I buy a $25k lens, I worry about adaptability, but when it's $4k it's much less of a concern. That's a lens that can be sold much easier with the cameras when we move to a different camera platform. I'm very excited to get my hands on on this lens.
Martin BaumgaertnerIt's a cine lens that seems quite solid for under $5K. If that's not for you, don't buy it. It's well within the discretionary impulse purchase range for anybody used to buying real glass.

Patrick SauerI got the new canon 18-80mm and I am really happy with it: stabilized (with 3 different modes), has a great zoom grip, perfect range, not too heavy, no focus breathing, ... just F4 is bad. But if I want a lens with F2, I use my canon 24-70 with speedbooster.
Richard SamuelsThis is a game changer guys! Never bought the 28-135 with my FS7 cause it's crap, and I've been waiting for something like this. If you've only worked with DSLR lenses you don't know what you're missing. Just checked it out today and I'll be placing my order soon.
