VRcine: Virtual Reality Cinema Camera User Group

Here is the first video that I created using the new Insta360 One X in 360° 5.7k #VR, featuring 21st Century Consort in performance at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Renwick Gallery in Washington, D.C. I filmed in LOG mode, to preserve the shadows & manage the highlights, then applied the official LUT.Our most recent concert ended with the world premiere of "Hidden Motives" by David Froom, a composer long affiliated with the 21st Century Consort. That special debut presents this occasion to launch an ongoing series of concert documentation, captured in 360-degree 5.7k virtual reality. After clicking the below link to the Consort's YouTube Channel (please subscribe!), hold down your left mouse button and drag the image around on a desktop computer, or play back through your smartphone's YouTube app and rotate (or even wear a Google Cardboard/virtual reality headset), to see the full 360 degrees of content. It plays back in up to 5.7k resolution, when you select "Quality: 2880s."

Paul Cigan, clarinet
Lisa Emenheiser Sarratt, piano
Alexandra Osborne, violin
Sara Stern, flute
Rachel Young Manzo, cello
Christopher Kendall, conductor
